with my new cycle, "flower children," i have fulfilled a long-held wish, namely to combine sweetness and natural beauty in their effectiveness. i have found the ideal method by combining the spontaneous expression of children's faces with plants.
when presented as flags, the "flower children" can interact in dialogue with natural elements and impress themselves on their surroundings. in order to further evolve this idea, there will be a new round of works every 12 months. at this time, i am searching for appropriate exhibition gardens and other public spaces for my project, "art in nature."
this cycle was created by following my great aspiration of feeling the soul of a child in combination with my love for flowers.
filled with desire i began to draw, i became involved increasingly deeper. an inner connection with the beauty of the natural wove through my works. out of this grew the "flower children."
my preference for drawing evolved very early on. for me it is and has always been an expression of unvarnished truth. the portrayal of children through this means is harmonious and authentic; also, the delicacy of nature displays itself in subtle and fine-limbed form.
